An Australian reporter has gone toe-to-toe with the world’s highest paid UFC fighter Ronda Rousey.
A Current Affair presenter Elise Elliott agreed to take on the 28-year-old UFC women's bantamweight champion, who is in Australia to promote her seventh world title defence against American Holly Holm.
In an interview the undefeated UFC superstar defended critics of women’s fighting by claiming women have as strong - if not stronger - appetite for fighting than men.
‘I really don’t believe fighting is a men’s thing or a women’s thing. It’s human. To say it’s not for women, why not? Women can have just as strong if not a stronger instinct to fight than men,' she said.
