Bank Report Predicts Australia ‘Will Be Cash Free By 2022’

A recently released report by financial institution Westpac has found that, based on a survey of adult smartphone users in Australia, nearly all payments will likely be made digitally--without cash--by 2022.

Technology could make cash largely obsolete as a way Australians pay their bills within the next seven years.
