Moscow Opens Massive New Mosque Built To Accommodate 10,000 Worshipers

In an effort to provide more dedicated space for Russian Muslims to worship, the Moscow Cathedral Mosque officially opened on Wednesday.

Russia is home to roughly 23 million Muslims, yet places for worship have historically been scarce. 


In an effort to provide more dedicated space and hopefully lessen the risk of radicalization, the Moscow Cathedral Mosque, which has room for 10,000 worshipers, was officially opened on Wednesday.
