Scotland secured a bonus-point victory at Kingsholm on Wednesday, overcoming a stern first-half performance from Japan to score five unanswered second-half tries.

Japan coach Eddie Jones claimed his side would win this game if they were in touch at half-time but, while the Brave Blossoms were only 12-7 down at the break, it was Scotland who dominated in the closing stages.

Tries from John Hardie, Mark Bennett (two), Tommy Seymour and Finn Russell in less than half an hour blew away the Japanese, playing after a four-day turnaround following their famous victory against the Springboks in Brighton.
