Peru's First Lady, Nadine Heredia, declared her innocence at a hearing into corruption charges. She said that journals and documents used to build a case against her for involvement in illicit campaign financing and money laundering were not hers and that what is involved is a smear campaign against the government ahead of next April's elections. Heredia said she is willing to cooperate in the investigations. teleSUR
