Ecuadoran flower vendors based in a home workshop are taking advantage of a new law that allows them to do business in supermarkets. The law requires that six percent of total merchandise comes from small and medium-scale producers. Furthermore, supermarket chains are now required to devote fifteen percent of each shelf level to local products.
