California vs. Omaha: The Rap Battle, Part 3
The battle to see which Inflection office has the best rap talent just got dangerously good. The Omaha office stunned California last week with their latest video, and now the Californians are scrambling to find a way to come back. Our Midwest comrades employed large crowds, slow motion, and clever lyrics to deliver their menacing blow.
For the uninitiated, the Inflection Rap Battle began last year with a challenge from Omaha to California. “We’re definitely better rappers than you are,” said Jake Dawson, the main creative force behind Omaha’s efforts. “Nuh uh,” said Jake Brady, who has no idea how to rap, but committed California anyway to settle the dispute.
Will California be able to stage a comeback, or will they wither back into rap obsolescence? Reached for comment, main California lyricist Mariam Braimah said “I think Omaha has natural talent, but we’ve got beat rhythm and slant rhymes. Plus, for our next video we’ll be unleashing our secret weapon.”
