Air India has given about 125 members of their cabin crew an ultimatum – get in shape or take a job on the ground.

Air India has given 125 members of its flight attendants an ultimatum to either get in shape or take a job on the ground.

To remain a part of the in-flight staff, each affected employee will have to lower their body mass index to a number that falls at or below the airline’s cap.

For women, the maximum allowed BMI for airborne personnel is 22.

Men must not exceed 25.

Those parameters were set in 2014, and in that same year about 600 crewmembers were given 6 months to shed the extra pounds.
Air India’s battle against staff bulge dates back to at least 2009,
