Palestinian Opinion Divided on Flag Raising

The decision by the UN General Assembly to allow the Palestinian flag to be raised at its headquarters in New York alongside those of its member states has sparked conflicting opinions on the ground in the Gaza Strip. Some hail the symbolic importance of the decision as reflecting Palestine's acceptance into the world community.
