An amusing video has emerged of a dog jumping up and down at the TV while watching US open tennis.

The footage, captured in Minneapolis, USA, shows the excited dog leaping up and down with a tennis ball in its mouth while watching a game between Venus and Serena Williams.

"My dog George loves to watch sports, both live and on TV," the filmer wrote online.

"Tennis is his favorite sport, so he is in doggy heaven right now with the US Open matches currently going on."

"What people find most fascinating about him, is that he knows how the game works," he continued.

"He will follow the ball, wait between serves, and just like the rest of us, he hates commercials."
