Surat: In an utter disregard of the law and humanity, the police mercilessly beat up a youth just because he is 'Patidar'. Violence broke out in Surat after the agitation by the Patels for reservation turned violent. The youth named Ghanshyam Gajera who went to buy milk for his daughter was severely beaten up by the police and now, he is fighting for his life. After police thrashed him severely, he lost kidney and now, many Patels have come forward for help. Victim's family is demanding stern action against the responsible police officers.
