Sarah Palin took issue with President Obama's use of melting glaciers as an example of the impact man-made climate change has had on the environment. The science on glaciers and climate change, however, is strongly in the president's favor.

Glacial trends are indicative of climate change.

But simply pointing this out can invite controversy.
