Mexico to Massively Cut Spending

The Mexican government announced it would massively cut spending in 2016 to help maintain the country's economic stability. Finance Minister Luis Videgaray said US$13 billion would be cut and the budget deficit reduced from 1% to 0.5% of GDP. He attributed the measures to the weakness of the global economy, the drop in oil prices, and the devaluation of the Mexican peso. teleSUR
