In what proves to be the most anticipated awards ceremony in India, the 59th Filmfare Awards lavished the Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai on January 24, 2014.
Catering to some of the biggest and brightest stars of B-town, celebrities graced the red carpet in anticipation of a fun-filled evening amidst laughter, comedy, music and dance.
From the likes of veteran legends of the screen to new raw talent eager to make their mark on the Indian film industry, personalities gathered to celebrate some of Indian cinema's greatest achievements.
The debonair RanbirKapoor and the sexy Priyanka Chopra were co-hosting the ceremony at the 59th Idea Filmfare Awards 2013 held at YRF Studios, Andheri. Together they provided an effervescent camaraderie and sparkling wit and kept the audience entertained.
The ravishing Priyanka Chopra sizzled in Ram chaahe leela and Ranveer Singh packed the razzmatazz with Bhai bhai, Tattad tattad, Tune maari entry yaar and Lahu muh lagg gaya. ShahidKapoor started off with his deft moves in Agal bagal and Saadi ke fall sa and rounded off with classic Michael Jackson moves in Way you make me feel.
In the midst of all the super entertainment, the super talents and the award winners of 2013 were unraveled through their envelopes. The winners accepted the coveted black statuette with jubilance, amid great fervor. This year the black lady was digitally 3-D printed to celebrate the 100 years of Hindi cinema. The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Tanuja as outstanding contribution to Indian Cinema.
