A rather unpleasant video from China shows hundreds of bugs in a newly-purchased cereal box.

The footage, captured in Chengdu, Sichuan Province on Sunday, shows the large creepy crawlies sneaking around the Italian-imported muesli.

According to local news, the customer, Ms Qian bought the cereal for her son on Friday, only to find the box infested the following night.

The supermarket refused to take responsibility because Ms Qian was unable to provide her receipt.
