Web Serial - Social Poetry in Cuba, Guatemala, and Honduras

This week's edition of Web Serial looks at social poetry in Cuba, Guatemala and Honduras. In Cuba, a new poetry has emerged, inspired by storytelling with African roots that doesn’t imitate European or North American styles. In Guatemala, Otto René Castillo, who returned from exile in the 1960s to use poetry as a weapon, is an inspiration for many. And, finally, in Honduras, we have the work of Roberto Sosa along with the poems of strong revolutionary women such as Iris Mencia and Lety Elvir involved in recent struggles. teleSUR
