Gujarat government adopts ‘Punishment’ policy for schools to improve results - Tv9 Gujarati

Gandhinagar: The Gujarat education department has decided to adopt a “punishment” policy for government schools, based on their performance which will be be monitored in the coming months. The decision comes in the wake of declining education standards and overall poor performance of students revealed in Gunotsav 2014, the annual evaluation of primary classes (Class II till VIII). Now, the non-performing teachers will have to sweep school and village as a part of their punishment, said Chief Minister Anandiben Patel.
