Buenos Aires Mayor Seeks Privatization of City Assets

In one of his last acts in office, the right-wing mayor of Buenos Aires, Mauricio Macri, has sent a bill to the local legislature to privatize various city assets. The properties include three community sports centers, cultural centers, and the municipal horse track. Critics charge that Macri's policies have favored businesses over the public interest and that the latest bills amount to a public property give-away.
