Stereophonics remember their roots on 'Keep the Village Alive'

Welsh rockers Stereophonics tell FRANCE 24 why they will always be a band from a small mining village at heart. FRANCE 24's music critic Mark Thompson caught up with them in Paris to talk about their new music, how the band keeps going and why they never read reviews.

The group will release their ninth studio album "Keep the Village Alive" on September 11 and have called on their experiences of growing up in such a remote area for inspiration.
Stereophonics have made their name by being the archetypal "band next door", something which has allowed them to perfect the tricky task of being able to attract new and young fans whilst also keeping their older ones happy.
