Guatemala: Right-Wing Candidate Calls for Putting President on Trial

Guatemalan right-wing presidential candidate Manuel Baldizón called on the country's congress to strip President Otto Perez Molina of his immunity in order to face impeachment proceedings. The embattled president faces impeachment due to his involvement in the high-level corruption scandal rocking the country. To be put on trial, 105 of the lower chamber's 158 members have to approve the proposal from the congressional investigative committee to strip Perez Molina of his immunity. teleSUR
