Lesson#1 What is an Identity and conditional equation? What is a Trigonometric Equation ? Trigonometric Equation: An equation containing at-least one trigonometric function is called a trigonometric equation. What are Different Types of Trigonometric Equation ? There are two types of trigonometric equations, 1) Identity: A trigonometric equation which is true for all real values of variable within the domain of involved trigonometric functions is called an identity. 2) Conditional Equation or Equation: A trigonometric equation which is true for specific real values of variable within the domain of involved trigonometric functions is called a conditional equation or simply an equation. Examples: 1) sin=0 2) cos=1/2 3) sin +cos=0 Exercise No.9.4 Chapter No.9 Fundamentals of Trignometry maths part 1
