Act against killer cops, urges family of victim

The family of an alleged smuggler, who died after a run-in with officers from the police's Anti-Smuggling Unit (UPP) in Kelantan, today presented a memorandum to the government, demanding that legal action be taken against the officers allegedly responsible for his death.

The family of Said Mat Hassan maintained their position that he was brutalised and killed by UPP officers in Tumpat on Feb 16, refuting the police version of events claiming that he had died of a heart attack.
