Chegubard Denies Orders Given To Breach Barrier

Badrul Hisham Shaharin, who was conducting crowd control during Bersih 3.0, said participants were instructed to disperse moments before the barrier was breached at Dataran Merdeka.
Badrul (left), who is more popularly known as Chegubard, told Malaysiakini that instructions given to him by PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim were to direct the crowd towards Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman to disperse.
"I was at the head of the pick-up truck (carrying Bersih leaders and Anwar)... a decision was needed to be made on whether to turn to the Masjid Negara roundabout or to Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman.
"The command to SAMM was to turn into Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman slowly so that the crowd will follow and disperse slowly," he said, referring to his NGO, Solidariti Anak Muda Malaysia (SAMM).
