Greetings from space to Cologne - Europe's astronaut city

ESA astronaut Alexander Gerst sent greetings to the city of Cologne, Germany. Alexander took a piece of the Cologne cathedral with him into space. Cologne is also the home of the European Astronaut Centre (EAC). EAC is a centre of excellence for astronaut selection, training, medical support and surveillance, as well as supporting astronauts and their families in preparation for, and during their spaceflights.
