Defense analyst: 'Malaysian 9/11' could have been avoided

Malaysian defense analyst, Lam Choong Wah said the situation in Lahad Datu is being adequately taken care of by Malaysian security forces at the moment, but he said the entire situation could have been avoided if the authorities prepared for it after receiving intelligence reports suggesting a possible threat five years ago.
Lam Choong Wah obtained his Master's degree in Strategic and Defense Studies from University Malaya and has spend some time as a defense journalist.
