CRIME WATCH : Thousands fooled on the pretext of Brahmin colony, Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A realtor has been arrested for cheating more than 1,000 people, including several NRIs and top government officials, while earning around Rs 25 crore from the act. The accused, Y. Prabhakar Sharma, would lure people from the Brahmin community, promising them an exclusive Brahmin housing colony named “Veda Gayatri Agraharam” in Chegur village of Kothur Mandal. He sold plots to several people with fake layouts, and earned more than Rs 25 crore.
