Argentina: Voters Go to Polls in Primary Elections

With around 32 million people authorized to vote, Argentineans are heading to the polls to vote in the country’s primary elections. The frontrunners for president are the ruling party’s candidate, Buenos Aires province governor Daniel Scioli, and right-wing businessman Mauricio Macri, who has been the mayor of Buenos Aires for the last eight years. Voters will also choose candidates for vice president and lawmakers. The polls opened at 8 am on Sunday and will close at 6 pm. teleSUR
