SIS files review against label of 'liberal deviants'

Sisters in Islam, a Muslim women’s group filed for a judicial review on a gazetted fatwa in Selangor that declared those subscribing to "liberalism and pluralism" as "deviating" from Islam, whilst citing the NGO.

SIS executive director Ratna Osman and board member Marina Mahathir said they were clueless about the fatwa against them and questioned the basis of it.
