The trial of former Argentine president Carlos Menem and 11 associates is slated to begin later today. They are accused of conspiring to derail the investigation into the 1994 bombing attack on the Argentine Jewish Community Center, which left 85 dead. They are also charged with obstruction of justice and destroying evidence in the case. Relatives of the victims accuse Menem and the others of knowing that the attack was to occur and doing nothing to prevent it. teleSUR
