Researchers have discovered a link between the regular consumption of spicy foods and decreased risk of death.

Eating spicy foods may just prolong your life.

Researchers published a study in BMJ that found an association between the regular consumption of spicy foods and lower risk of death. 

The research team studied nearly half a million people (age range 30-79) in China and had them fill out detailed questionnaires about their diets. They followed up seven years later when over 20,000 participants had died. Researchers controlled for income, education and adverse medical history amongst other variables.
