Lawsuit Accuses Conan O’Brien Of Stealing Jokes From Twitter

A freelance comedy writer from California is suing Conan O’Brien and his production team for $600,000 for the alleged theft of four jokes posted to the writer’s Twitter account.

A lawsuit recently filed in California accuses Conan O’Brien of copyright infringement.

Robert Kaseberg, a freelance comedy writer from San Diego, claims Conan O'Brien and/or his staff stole four jokes that were posted to Kaseberg's Twitter account and blog. The jokes were then allegedly adapted for inclusion into O'Brien's opening monologue on his eponymous TBS late night show. 

O'Brien's production company dismissed the allegations: "We at Conaco firmly believe there is no merit to this lawsuit.”
