Greek bailout deal has 'too much austerity'

Guntram Wolff is the Director of Bruegel, a European think tank specialised in economics and based in Brussels. Of German origin, he is also an economic advisor to the French Prime Minister, Manuel Valls. He reacts to the deal agreed on the Greek debt crisis.
"The Germans have emphasised austerity too much" when it comes to Greece, he told FRANCE 24’s Christophe Robeet. But Wolff also criticises the role of the IMF. “The IMF has not emphasised enough the need to really reform Greek society, the Greek economic system".
Wolff admits that Germany needs to improve its image after the Greek crisis. He suggests that it propose "some form of a growth fund, a Marshall Fund to really help Greece to get out of this mess".
"Grexit remains a threat as long as Greece doesn’t grow and doesn’t get more domestic stability", he warns.
