Born and raised in Kitchener, Ontario, RY is quickly establishing himself as a young and exciting Canadian Singer/Songwriter to watch. In a brief period, he has solidified himself as a hard working and talented performer with a unique and compelling voice ranging from a whispery croon to a rich and powerful sound. RY's singing often draws comparison's from Coldplay's Chris Martin to Radiohead's Thom Yorke to the modern soulful styling of Justin Timberlake.
Proficient in guitar and piano, RY has performed hundreds of concerts both solo and with a band on a weekly basis in venues across the world ranging from intimate cafe, to cruise ships & festivals to soft seater theatres. RY was selected and awarded a scholarship in 2012 to Coalition Entertainment/Records.
Drawing on influences such as John Mayer, Coldplay, Jeff Buckley, Thom Yorke, Michael Buble, Frank Sinatra, RY put out his debut self titled album on April 15h, 2015.
