Mumbai: The Bombay high court has ordered National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI) to submit report on polluted water of Godavari river. The petitioners had told the court that out of the 19 nullahs, six were temporarily diverted and that they wanted all the nullahs to be permanently diverted. The court asked the state government to clear its stand in case of India Bulls before May 22. During the last hearing, the petitioners mentioned the pollution being caused to the river due to the foam coming out of the sewage treatment plants at Tapovan and Agartakli and that this was harmful for the health of pilgrims who would bathe here during the Kumbh Mela.
