In Divided Vote, Greek Parliament Approves Bailout

The Greek parliament approved the European debt bailout with its tough austerity measures. However 40 MPs from the ruling leftist Syriza party voted against the proposal, while indicating their continued support for the government. Neoliberal forces will attempt to apply pressure against other anti-austerity forces and bring down the Syriza government; therefore international solidarity with Greece against the imposed bailout is urgent.
