Apne Huye Paraye (1964) is a Bollywood superhit film produced and directed by Ajit Chakraborty starring Manoj Kumar and Mala Sinha. The movie focuses on the lives of two women namely Rekha (Mala Sinha) and Lata (Shasikala). When Lata's mother passed away, then Rekha's mother adopted Lata and gave her great care and love to her. Rekha falls in love with Shankar (Manoj Kumar) but later on she has to sacrifice her love as Lata also loves Shankar. Finally Lata gets married to Shankar. With Shankar still maintaining contact with his first love Rekha, Lata plans a scheme to destroy Rekha forever. What follows is a murder which will not only turn everyone's lives upside down but also throw open their individual lives to a public scandal.
