Elaan is a 1971 Bollywood thriller film directed by K. Ramanlal. The film stars Vinod Khanna, Rekha and Madan Puri in the lead.
Naresh Kumar Saxena (Vinod Mehra) is a journalist and a freelance photographer who lives with his widow mother and sister, Seema. One day he meets a Newspaper editor and his daughter Mala Mehta (Rekha). Mr. Mehta hires Naresh and sends him to a remote village over a secret mission to expose illegal activities prevailing there. However, Naresh is caught red handed by the island guards and they beseize him in a cell along with two other companions; a scientist and another gangster. The scientist shares his unique invention of the Atomic Ring with Naresh and reveals its super power, according to which, whoever puts the ring in his mouth, will be invisible. Naresh grabs the opportunity and escapes from the prison, taking away the ring along with him. The news of his escape spreads like wildfire and Boss (Shetty) and Mr. Verma (Madan Puri) start chasing him and find Naresh and kill him to get the ring from him. Will they be successful in finding Naresh? Will Naresh be able to expose Mr. Verma's illegal activities and save the ring from going into wrong hands? Watch the movie to know more.
