Actor Omar Sharif Dies At 83

Oscar-nominated actor Omar Sharif, known for his roles in "Lawrence of Arabia" and "Doctor Zhivago," has died at the age of 83.

Oscar-nominated actor Omar Sharif has died. 


The 83-year-old Egyptian-born actor suffered a heart attack while in a hospital in Cairo on Friday. 


Sharif is known for starring in the films, "Lawrence of Arabia" and "Doctor Zhivago." 


His performance in the former earned him an Oscar nod, and he won a Golden Globe for the latter.


He can be seen in other films such as "Funny Girl," along Barbra Streisand, and "Behold a Pale Horse," which also featured Gregory Peck and Anthony Quinn. 


Sharif had been battling Alzheimer's according to a report back in May of this year.
