Mankind usually keeps on searching for peace. The peace of heart and mind which majority agrees that does not exist in chasing the desires in the form of money, increasing possessions and a sheer materialism. All these attitudes lead one to a state of mind that demands tenser situation of mind.

Some go to other extreme by totally avoiding any kind of indulgence in such activities that are related to materialism. And prefer to adopt isolation or meditation to gain peace of mind and heart. They believe in eliminating the desires. Their belief is cause of suffering and misery is desire. Suffering and misery can be removed by removing desire.

This monk living in Thailand is trying to do the same act of meditation and removing his desires. He is trying to make himself feel that how does suffering and misery effects and it is going to help him to remove his desires. Monk is sitting in the boiling oil.

All the people around him include those who are getting entertained with this unique act and those who are trying to learn a lesson from it. This act is quite dangerous and involves life risk but people belonging to this frame of mind hold commitments to their beliefs and accordingly worship patterns.

Some people hold belief that by doing such an act all the evil desires within them reduce because they feel the pain others may suffer due to their evil acts and simply they do not do it because they have experienced it on their own selves and can very well feel the pain others may suffer.
This video is not the only one case rather their exist a complete set of institutes which involves such practices at large scale and many people belonging to such school of thought join this activity on regular basis. It has now become symbol for sensitivity towards the societal problems and sufferings. This look strange when someone hears or reads that meditation is being done in the boiling oil. But it is true as there exist a community which prefers this activity in order to gain peace of mind and heart. Major philosophy behind it is simply to teach evil desires a lesson.

All those who practice it either individually or in the form of groups claim to have an impact on their evil selves. This is the reason institutes are being made only and only for this purpose. And providing quality services for such meditation practices without any interference of local public.

The video holds footage of a monk in Thailand who has selected to perform his meditation in front of all the public and is not afraid of losing his life. A long stay in boiling oil has made him a local hero for those who belong to same school of thought but those who believe in some better way of meditation have some objections.
