Gir lions to go on a four-month monsoon vacation - Tv9 Gujarati

If you have been planning to pay the lions in Gir a visit, then wait for another four months as the king of forest is going to enjoy monsoon vacation and the lions’ keepers will close the sanctuary’s doors to tourists for the four months of monsoon starting June 16.
The period is also believed to be the lions’ mating period, during which they do not like to be disturbed. Moreover, even the roads in the wildlife sanctuary are rendered unusable because of the rainfall as most of the trails inside the forest are non-concrete.
