Police Arrest Tens of Far-Right Attackers at Kiev Gay Pride March

Dozens of assailants attacked a gay pride march in Kiev on June 6, the second such event ever held in the city. As many as 300 members of the LGBT community attended the parade, along with 2,000 police officers deployed to protect the march for equality. The ultra-nationalist Right Sector, or Pravy Sektor, vowed to cause disruptions, according to Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty. A police statement said 25 nationalists were arrested.Five policemen were injured in the clashes.
