18-year-old woman dies at Christmas Eve shooting

Every year, Lankey Columbres always tried to complete the 9-day simbang gabi. On December 24, 2005, she and a group of friends went to mass at the Santo Cristo Church in Barangay Marulas, Valenzuela City. Little did they know that just outside the walls of the church, danger awaits them. Lankey and her friends were on their way home when a group of mean appeared out of nowhere and started shooting at them. After the chaos has died down, Lankey was found facedown on the pavement—bloodied and lifeless. Who were the culprits behind the shooting? And what was their motive in attacking Lankey and her friends?
