How peacekeepers prevented more bloodshed in Mamasapano?

While the commandos of the Philippine National Police-Special Action Forces (PNP-SAF) fight against the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) and Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) rebels, there is a group of government peace negotiators who mediated to stop the conflict. They are the members of the Coordinating Committee on the Cessation of Hostilities. Their job is to keep the ceasefire between the government and the rebels.
