Chris Christie eats $300,000 of food: New Jersey governor’s appetite for presidency - TomoNews

Is Chris Christie conservative enough to make a bid for the White House? On top of Christie’s $175,000 a year salary, he receives $95,000 a year for expenses.

On average, the New Jersey governor spent a whopping $72,000 of this expense account on food, drinks, and desserts annually. Much of that spending was at MetLife stadium where Christie receives free luxury box tickets to Jets and Giants games, but still managed to spend, on average, $1,400 per game on who knows—stuff.

If Christie has a true hunger to be the conservative’s man for the White House, he’s going to need to prove it. The lap band surgery did help cut down on his grocery spending habits a bit.

Do you think Christie’s appetite for the White House will be eaten alive by his appetite for spending? Leave your thoughts in the comments.
