A foreigner was raped by her boyfriend, whose surname is Hong, when she tried to break up with him in New Taipei City.

The two were together for two years, however, he was always violent with her. The woman first told him that she wanted to break up in February, but he refused. Later in May, he took her to his place to 'discuss things'. While at his place, she received a phone call from her sister, and she spoke in her native tongue, looking for help. That did not please her already enraged boyfriend.

He tied her up and raped her by putting an egg inside of her and crushed it. Later when help arrived, Hong was taken into custody. Afterwards, the girlfriend went to the hospital where doctors were able to extract egg shells from her vagina. However, because the girlfriend is willing to forgive his transgressions only if he stopped harassing her, the judge only sentenced him four years and two months in jail.
