Fatal crash: 9-year-old boy witnesses mom squashed to death

A 40-year-old woman was run over by a concrete truck in New Taipei City, Taiwan. She was squashed to death at the scene where her son witnessed this fatal accident.
The mother and son were on their way to an eye clinic. The footage from a surveillance camera showed that they were both on a scooter.
The 9-year-old son's leg was pressed down by his mom's body under the truck and he only suffered minor injuries. However, witnessing his mom's death may have left too great of an impact on him as he told the paramedics, blankly: "I want to see my dad to tell him about this." Not a single tear was shed by the boy.
Social workers have been arranged to consult the boy after he was sent to a hospital.
According to investigation, the driver's blood alcohol content was 0.06 percent, and his concrete truck overloaded 6 tons, which is charged a penalty of USD 540. The driver is now charged with offenses against public safety for causing death due to professional negligence.
