Missing Malaysian army boat found, all 13 men alive

Thirteen army personnel feared lost at sea were found early Tuesday morning some 12 kilometers away from the spot their boat capsized in rough seas late Saturday (December 7).
The commandos managed to right the boat, but the soldiers could not re-start the boat's engine and after drifting for close to 30 hours, they finally washed ashore and were discovered by rescuers.
The incident began after three boats filled with trainee troops and instructors took to sea for a ocean rowing exercise off the coast Klebang Besar, Malaysia on Saturday night (December 7), according to The Star Online.
As sea conditions worsened, one of the boats became separated from the group. The remaining two boats were located and towed back to shore, but authorities were unable to find the third boat and its 13 occupants, leading to fears it had sank.
Rescue missions were dispatched on Sunday, while a emergency response booth was also set up on a beach. After many hours of fruitless searching, the missing men were found after they managed to drift to shore at a location around 12 kilometers from where they originally went missing.
Local reports say the men were in a state of exhaustion, but are stable and recovering in hospital.
