Two teenagers caused a terrorist attack panic when they used pepper spray on a Sicun (西村)-bound train from Jiaokou(滘口), Guangzhou (廣州), China at 11am yesterday (March 4th). At least 11 passengers were injured in the stampede.

Recounting the incident on Weibo(微博), the Chinese version of Twitter, netizens said that two teenage boys suddenly sprayed some gas in the last train car.

The acrid smell of the pepper spray and smoke quickly filled the train, prompting scores of passengers to flee for fear of terrorist attack. Some netizens pointed out that panicked passengers rushed to first train car. At least 11 people were injured in the stampede and sent to a nearby hospital by ambulance. Eventually the crisis was resolved thanks to the police, who found the pepper spray.

Shoes, bags and other personal items scattered in the train.

Train service resumed shortly after a temporary suspension.
