Outrage! Doctor humiliated in public parade after patient dies

A doctor in China's southern Guangdong province was publicly humiliated by a crowd of nearly 100 people yesterday. The crowd was summoned by family members of a patient who was admitted to the hospital late at night on March 4 for alcohol intoxication. The patient died half an hour later.

The man's relatives believe the on-call doctor was responsible for their his death. The young doctor was forced to walk in a parade with angry friends and relatives of the patient, sobbing through the thirty-minute ordeal.

Authorities are investigating the case. So far, two people who participated in the parade have turned themselves in.
