Kenyan authorities are searching for three men who carjacked a relative of Kenya's president Tuesday night.

Jean Muhoho, an aunt of Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta, was carjacked Tuesday (March 12) night after running into traffic at a roundabout on the Uhuru Highway.

Three gunmen reportedly carjacked the vehicle as it was stuck in traffic.

The gunmen took control of the vehicle and drove away with Muhoho and a male friend still in the car.

The carjackers then drove their captives around Nairobi for over two hours, during which time the carjackers stole cash, an ATM card, a driver's license, the woman's shoes and a mobile phone.

Mrs. Muhoho and companion were finally forced out of the car near the International School located in the Gigiri area.

Both victims were reportedly traumatized, but unharmed.

Kenya has vowed to step up policing after several high-profile robberies and crimes, including the takeover of the upscale Westgate Mall by suspected Islamic terrorists in September 2013.
